Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how OntoRoot (“OntoRoot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit ontoroot.com (the “Site”) or submit the contact form. We publish this policy for transparency and will update it when our practices change; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by OntoRoot from Israel in connection with our semantic mapping and enterprise knowledge-graph product. For privacy requests about this Site or form submissions, contact us at privacy@ontoroot.com. For general inquiries you may also use hello@ontoroot.com or the contact form on the homepage.

2. Information we collect

You provide directly. If you use the contact form, you may provide your name, work email, company or organization, and a message. We use this only to respond and to discuss the Design Partner Program or related commercial conversations.

Automatically collected. Like most websites, hosting and content delivery infrastructure may log technical data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, referring URL, and timestamps. We use this to operate and secure the Site, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate traffic—not to sell personal data.

3. Form delivery (service provider)

Submissions from the Site’s contact form are sent through Formspree, Inc. (United States), which delivers the message to our inbox. Formspree processes the fields you submit on our behalf. Their practices are described in Formspree’s Privacy Policy.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your messages and schedule calls or onboarding.
  • To operate, maintain, and protect the Site (including fraud and abuse prevention).
  • To comply with law or enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your contact details for unrelated marketing unless you ask to hear from us about a specific topic and we honor that scope.

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where required by law, we rely on contract and legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, securing the Site, improving reliability) for form and technical data, and consent where we ask for it explicitly.

6. Retention

We retain contact form information long enough to complete the conversation and manage our relationship (typically on the order of months to a few years for business contacts), unless a longer period is required by law. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period according to our hosting providers’ defaults unless we need them longer for security. You may ask us to delete your contact information, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

We are based in Israel. Information you submit may be processed in Israel and, through our service providers (for example, Formspree in the United States), in other countries. If you access the Site from outside Israel, your information may be transferred across borders. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as mechanisms offered by our providers or statutory bases).

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@ontoroot.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents. California law may grant you additional rights (for example, to know what categories of personal information we collect and to request deletion). We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA for the activities described in this policy. To submit a request, contact privacy@ontoroot.com.

10. Cookies and analytics

This Site is designed to use minimal cookies. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral ad networks on the Site as of the Last updated date. Our hosting and form provider may use cookies or similar technologies on their own domains as needed to deliver the service. If we add analytics or marketing tools that collect personal data on the Site, we will update this policy, name the provider, and describe how to opt out where applicable.

11. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.

13. Contact

Privacy questions: privacy@ontoroot.com. General questions: hello@ontoroot.com or the contact form.
